With the support of the Department of Religious Affairs of the Astana City Akimat, the QAMQOR-ASTANA Public Foundation organized an information and explanatory campaign for the public under the theme "Law and Order", the official website of the capital's akimat reported.
"The purpose of the event is to inform residents of the capital about destructive religious movements and their threat, to increase religious literacy and to familiarize them with the legislation in the field of religion," said Madi Tolbasy, a member of the information and explanatory group of the QAMQOR-ASTANA Public Foundation.
As part of the campaign, more than 2,000 information brochures were distributed to residents of the capital, including reliable sources on religion, the threat of destructive religious movements, a list of banned terrorist and extremist organizations, legislation in the field of religion and other relevant issues, and video clips were shown.
The event introduced participants to national values, customs, traditions, the history of Kazakhstan, the continuity of religion and traditions A quiz was held aimed at preventing the glorifying and destructive religious movement. And the children competed in reciting proverbs and sayings on the topics of the country, education, family, etc.
