Last weekend, the head of the region, Serik Shapkenov, met with the Chairman of the Board of JSC "QazaqGaz" NC" Sandzhar Zharkeshov, Issues related to the implementation of the Kashagan gas processing plant project were discussed.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the general contractors “KCG” LLP and “Integra” LLP, who reported on the current state of construction, as well as the resolution of urgent issues in the implementation of the project.

The current indicator of overall progress in construction is 42%. According to the latest data, 90% of the equipment has been delivered, and installation is in full swing. More than 900 specialists and 75 pieces of equipment have been involved in the construction. It is planned to increase the number of personnel to 2,000 from May of this year.

“Construction and installation work is actively underway at the facility. In the spring, we will begin installing large technological equipment. According to the schedule approved by the government, the plant should be commissioned by the end of 2026,” said Sandzhar Zharkeshov.

Regional akim Serik Shapkenov emphasized the importance of completing the project on time, focusing on key issues such as monitoring the work of contractors, staffing, and environmental safety. During the meeting, the head of the region ordered transparency in coordinating the work of project implementers and compliance with the work schedule. It is necessary to mobilize the necessary resources and establish effective partnerships to launch the plant on time.
