Akim of Atyrau region Serik Shapkenov received Evgeny Nastradin, executive director of KaR-Tel, the press service of the akimat reports.

The two sides discussed the details of the joint work and the main directions of development of the region's telecommunications infrastructure.

Last year, the company built and modernized 306 base stations, and communication was established in 15 unalarmed areas. In 2025-2026, dual-purpose towers will be installed and efforts will be made to eliminate "white spots". More precisely, communication will be established in 90 areas. In addition, the company "KaR-Tel" intends to actively develop the home Internet network, ensuring uninterrupted access to high-speed Internet for residents of the region. The head of the region noted that the Internet has become an integral part of life, and access to it plays an important role in the development of the region. The regional akim expressed his readiness to support projects aimed at improving the quality of communication and expanding the coverage area. At the end of the meeting, a memorandum was signed between the akimat of the Atyrau region and "KaR-Tel" LLP on the development of communications and the Internet in the region. This document confirms the agreement of the parties to develop telecommunications infrastructure in the region, especially in rural areas, to enhance communications and make the Internet accessible.
