For this purpose, a delegation led by the Deputy Governor of the region Nurbol Turashbekov, with the support and organization of the Consulate General in Xi'an, went on a working visit to the People's Republic of China. On the first day of the working visit, the regional delegation met with Chen Chunjiang, Vice Governor of Shaanxi Province.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of trade and economic ties between Turkestan Region and Shaanxi Province and the further strengthening of interregional cooperation. It is worth noting that last year, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the two regions.
Shaanxi Province is one of the leading economic centers of China and has great potential in the fields of industry, agriculture, trade and infrastructure development. In this regard, the parties expressed their interest in continuing close relations in implementing joint investment projects, exchanging innovations and increasing trade volumes.
Following the results of the meeting, the parties agreed to intensify interaction to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two regions.
In addition, as part of the business trip, Deputy Governor of Turkestan Region Nurbol Turashbekov visited Shaanxi Water Development Group Co., Ltd., which specializes in the efficient use of water resources and the development of water supply systems. LTD».
«Shaanxi Water Development» is engaged in the construction of water infrastructure, design of drinking water systems, modernization of sewage systems, improvement of water treatment technologies and production of products related to this industry. The company includes 19 specialized enterprises. According to data for 2024, the company's assets amounted to 150 billion yuan (about 21 billion US dollars). Today, the company's specialists are successfully implementing large-scale projects in 15 countries.
During the meeting, representatives of the Chinese company shared their best practices in the field of water treatment and recycling of contaminated water, uninterrupted supply of drinking water to the population, and monitoring the safety of water quality. It was also proposed to participate in joint projects on the use of new technologies aimed at increasing the availability of drinking water.
The parties discussed the issues of efficient use of water resources, introduction of new technologies and investment cooperation, and expressed their intention to work closely in this direction.
