Work continues to attract investment to the Turkestan region and open production facilities.
In accordance with the instructions of the Turkestan region akim Nuralkhan Kusherov, the regional delegation, headed by the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Shakkaliev, participated in the forum of economic activists of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tehran. The main goal of the forum is to increase bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Islamic Republic of Iran and exchange experience with local entrepreneurs.
During the trip, the delegation headed by the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Shakkaliev met with the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Mohammad Atabekk.
Within the framework of the forum, the head of the Turkestan region's entrepreneurship and industry department N. Myrzakhmetov announced the opening of a 25 million-dollar business center in the Turkestan region. A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the head of Sorena Carpet Co LLP Reza Mahmoudian and the head of Iran Carpet Export Symposium Naser Seraji on the implementation of the project "carpet production plant" for US dollars.
Business meetings were held in the B2B format during the forum. The head of the Turkestan regional entrepreneurship and industry department held successful negotiations with the head of the Iranian tractor manufacturer "Iran Tractor Co.Ltd" Mr. Nasi Abbasi, the director of the Fisheries Department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mehdi Shahouri, the chairman of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Amir Abedi and other heads of enterprises on tractor assembly, fish feed production, and animal skin and wool processing. In addition, he visited the city of Kashan, which is specialized in carpet production in Iran, and visited the carpet factories "Adet Carpet Co.Ltd", "Ektiban Carpet Co.Ltd", "Sorena Carpet Co." and got acquainted with their work.
Bilateral discussions were held on opening a showroom and a carpet factory for Iranian carpets in Turkestan. In the near future, Iranian businessmen are planned to visit our region on a special business trip to familiarize themselves with the investment climate.
