Coventry University Kazakhstan and JSC "Financial Center" have signed an agreement, creating conditions for young people registered in the unified voluntary savings system "Keleshek" to study at the university with a discount of up to 20%.
On February 18, a bilateral memorandum of cooperation was signed between Coventry University Kazakhstan and JSC "Financial Center", the operator of the state educational savings system. The document was signed by Coventry University Kazakhstan President Miras Daulenov and Chairman of the Board of JSC "Financial Center" Askar Ibraimov. According to the "Keleshek" system, when a child turns 5, the state transfers 60 AEK (235,920 tenge) as initial educational capital, and 120 AEK (471,840 tenge) to orphans left without parental care. Also, a state bonus of 5-7% is paid annually, a bank-participant bonus or investment income from a life insurance company. These funds can be spent on higher education, that is, this will allow children to save up the necessary funds for their future studies from an early age.
"The support of the "Keleshek" system by the world's best universities, such as Coventry University Kazakhstan, provides a unique opportunity for Kazakhstani youth. This not only ensures access to world-class quality education, but also helps our students to be competitive in the international arena. "The Keleshek system will allow the realization of the potential of the younger generation, while cooperation with leading foreign universities will strengthen ties between Kazakhstan and the global educational community, paving the way for the all-round development of young people in our country," said Askar Ibraimov, Chairman of the Board of Financial Center JSC.
"Coventry University Kazakhstan was one of the first to support the initiative to create a unified voluntary savings system "Keleshek". As a social project aimed at supporting talented youth, the university combines world educational standards and innovative approaches to the learning process, providing students with access to high-quality and effective British education," noted Miras Daulenov, President of Coventry University Kazakhstan.
