A unique operation was performed on a 4-month-old baby at the City Children's Clinical Hospital. The baby was hospitalized in critical condition with congenital left-sided hydronephrosis grade 3.

After a complete examination of the child, who had been under observation since the antenatal period, preparations were made for a complex operation. It was found that the baby had a significant narrowing of the urinary tract of the kidney, and the function of the left kidney had deteriorated.

The child underwent a planned left-sided lumbotomy and resection of the ureter-penile segment, and Heinz-Anderson ureteroplasty. The operation was successful, and the baby was discharged home in satisfactory condition.

It should be noted that previously, children were sent to republican centers in Astana and Almaty for such operations. For a year now, doctors of the city children's clinical hospital have been successfully performing urological operations and providing high-quality medical care to children. To date, the hospital has performed about 60 urological operations.

Congenital defects of the upper urinary tract are now common among children. Early rehabilitation measures will allow you to save the child's kidneys.
