Measures have been taken to combat spring floods in the Urzhar district. To date, 5,424 thousand cubic meters of snow have been removed from settlements. The work is still ongoing. A total of 20 motor pumps for pumping water are ready.
The gasoline reserve is 5.6 tons, the diesel fuel reserve is 3.6 tons. In accordance with the anti-flood action plan, an additional 14 tons of diesel fuel are being purchased.
"In the event of an emergency in the district, 205 people and 80 pieces of various equipment will be mobilized. 23 agreements and contracts of intent and 43 memorandums have been signed with institutions, individual entrepreneurs, and farms to provide food, catering, accommodation, transportation services, and fuel and lubricants. In rural districts, bags were distributed to create temporary dams in case of a flood threat. In addition, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the district akim's office and KazspetsMonolitStroy LLP to purchase 270 tons of inert material, - says the deputy akim of the district Serik Tilemisov.
In 2016, major work was carried out on the Eginsu reservoir and it was put into operation. The current condition of the reservoir is satisfactory. Water flows in the Karakol reservoir in transit mode. A duty officer was placed at the reservoirs to constantly monitor the volume of water.
There are 15 bridges and 159 culverts in the district. In the autumn months, they were 100 percent cleaned of garbage and grass. In order to pass the spring flood of 2025 under normal conditions, anti-flood measures were carried out in 5 villages last year.
