Congratulated Professor Sergey Lokhvitsky, a well-known surgeon in the Karaganda region, on his birthday. He turned 90.

On behalf of the akim of Karaganda region, Ermaganbet Bolekpayev, his deputy Oraz Tauirbekov congratulated the jubilee and expressed gratitude for his merits in medicine and science.

– Your life is a whole era full of hard work in medicine, scientific discoveries and the education of a new generation of doctors. Your contribution to the development of surgery and medical education is enormous.  Thanks to you, thousands of patients have had the opportunity to live, and hundreds of your students continue your work, - Oraz Tauirbekov noted. - I wish you good health, vigor, happiness and prosperity! May your life be filled with joy, the warmth of your loved ones and the gratitude of your students!

Over the years, Professor Sergey Lokhvitsky has educated more than a hundred doctoral and master's students, who today hold leading positions in medical institutions in Kazakhstan and beyond. His scientific works and research not only enriched world medical experience, but also helped save many lives.

– Assessing my past, I believe that I can say that my greatest achievement is the training of my school of surgeons. My pride is my students who have become highly qualified specialists. Today they live and work in different countries, developing surgical science, - the hero of the day noted. – I am also very pleased that today surgery in the region is at a fairly high level. I think this is partly due to my efforts and work.

Sergey Viktorovich Lokhvitsky was born in Moscow in 1935. In 1958, I. M. He graduated from the medical faculty of the Sechenov Moscow Medical Institute and worked in Moscow until 1975. In 1975, 40-year-old Sergey Lokhvitsky decided to move to Karaganda, where he was offered the position of head of the hospital surgery department of the medical institute. This step turned out to be fateful.

Sergey Lokhvitsky was awarded the Order of Parasat and has the title of Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
