On December 4, 2024, Vice Minister Batyrbek Abdyshev met with representatives of the Chinese company China Surveying and Mapping Technology at the Command Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The foreign delegation was headed by the company's CEO Zhang Xiaodong.
During the meeting, the possibilities of cooperation in the use of remote sensing data for emergency monitoring were discussed. Representatives of the Chinese company demonstrated high-resolution satellite images, and also offered applied solutions and training programs in the field of remote sensing technologies.
Vice Minister Batyrbek Abdyshev noted: "The use of DDZ technologies will reduce the response time to emergency situations and improve the quality of forecasting the parameters of their development. We are open to applying the latest developments in this area, which will increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our work."
China Surveying and Mapping Technology is a subsidiary of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC). These technologies are actively used in such areas as agriculture and forestry, water resources management, mining and energy, as well as to solve problems in emergency management, and also supports the "One Belt, One Road" initiatives and actively participates in the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
