Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Nurzhan Nurzhigitov met with representatives of the Spanish Association of Industrial Engineers, an organization uniting more than 1,000 highly specialized engineering companies in Spain. The parties discussed potential cooperation in the construction of water infrastructure and personnel training.
The foreign delegation told the Minister about the major projects implemented both in Spain and in other countries. According to representatives of the Association of Industrial Engineers, Spanish construction companies are interested in working at water facilities in Kazakhstan.
In addition, the Spanish side expressed its readiness to provide support to the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation in the issue of professional development of technical specialists.
"We are already working with Spanish companies on the exploration and study of groundwater. The experience of Spanish engineers is very interesting to us, as well as the possibility of joint training of specialists," said Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Nurzhan Nurzhigitov.
