During the meetings of the working group, Deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan considered and adopted a number of norms on civil defense issues on amendments and additions to some legislative acts.
The adopted norms are aimed at giving the Ministry of Emergency Situations new competence to develop evacuation measures in peacetime and wartime; supplementing civil defense measures with new tasks; classifying cities into groups, organizations into categories of civil defense; giving competence to carry out civil defense measures to state bodies directly subordinate and accountable to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan; determining categories of trainees to be trained in the field of civil protection; increasing the coverage of the population as part of training in emergency behavior skills, by opening additional training centers; including responsibilities for organizations to conduct exercises and training in the field of civil protection; resolving issues of maintenance and accounting of civil defense defenses; updating issues of state control in the field of civil defense, etc.
