In 2025, 16.3 billion tenge is planned to be allocated in Almaty for the development of digital projects.
The relevant draft budget for 2025-2027 is planned to be considered at the upcoming session of the Maslikhat of Almaty. This was reported by the press service of the city Maslikhat.
It is planned that in 2025, funds from the new budget will be allocated for the maintenance of 6 thousand video cameras in places of mass gathering of citizens and agro-industrial complex "Sergek", thanks to the work of which the number of accidents in the metropolis decreased by 17% and the number of deaths in accidents by 40%. Currently, there are 1,641 such complexes operating in the city. In just 9 months of this year, more than 3 million violations were recorded in Almaty, of which over 18.7 billion tenge was collected from the city budget.
Also, the implementation of the project "Unified Video Monitoring System" continues in the megalopolis. As of today, 45,2 thousand video cameras are connected to the system in 616 public and 240 private facilities. Next year, their number will grow to 70 thousand. The main goal of the project is to introduce a single platform for combining all city surveillance cameras. This will allow you to analyze video streams in real time and use them for various tasks. Artificial intelligence algorithms allow you to detect clusters of people and analyze their behavior, identify fights, suspicious objects, search for people and vehicles, recognize fire and smoke.
In the future, new types of video analytics are planned to be launched next year, aimed at solving the tasks of public utilities and urban services, such as identifying garbage disposal areas, filling garbage containers, determining the level of flooding of public spaces and streets, detecting stray animals and much more.
It should be noted that according to the project "Video monitoring system in crowded places", 6 thousand cameras will be installed by the end of this year.
In addition, part of the funds from the budget is provided for the further development of the Situational Center of the city, which allows you to track the status of all activity in the city online.
