This is the day when the Declaration of Sovereignty was adopted, which determined the historical choice of our country. Therefore, this holiday has a special meaning for us.
The main wealth of Kazakhstan is the citizens of our country. Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev often talks about the need and importance of raising the status of a person at work. Therefore, the President declared 2025 the Year of Working Professions.
More than 10 thousand people work in the field of water management in Kazakhstan. Since its establishment, the Ministry has been actively working to improve the status of water specialists.
Since the beginning of the year, the salaries of a number of employees of Kazvodkhoz have increased by 25%. Next year we will continue to work in this direction.
This year, in honor of the Republic Day, 34 specialists in the water sector were awarded state awards. 20 cars were handed over to the country's basin inspections.
Over the next few years, we intend to upgrade 65-70% of water management equipment. For example, to prepare for the next irrigation season, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation plans to provide branches of Kazvodkhoz with 757 units of new equipment. These include tracked vehicles, excavators, trucks and tractors.
This is the beginning of big changes. After all, the work of specialists who guard the country's water security should be appreciated.
