20 cars were handed over to the providers of the country's basin inspections in honor of Republic Day. A ceremony of awarding state and departmental awards to water management specialists was held in Astana. The solemn event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev and Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Nurzhan Nurzhigitov.
"Dear colleagues, I sincerely congratulate you on the Republic Day. This is the day when the Declaration of Sovereignty was adopted, which determined the historical choice of our country. Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev often talks about the need and importance of raising the status of a person at work. Therefore, the President declared 2025 the Year of Working Professions. More than 10 thousand people work in the field of water management in Kazakhstan. You are working hard to ensure the country's water security. I wish you all health, strength and success!", said Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Nurzhan Nurzhigitov.
On the eve of the holiday, 34 specialists in the water sector were awarded state awards. In particular, 8 people were awarded the order of "Kurmet", two – the Order of "Enbek Danki" of the III degree, 13 specialists – the medal "Yeren enbegi ushin". In addition, badges "Su sharuashylygyn ardageri" and "Su sharuashylygyn uzdigi" were awarded, as well as certificates of honor and letters of thanks from the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation.
Representatives of the water dynasties were also awarded. It should be noted that 67 dynasties of water workers work in the Kazvodkhoz enterprise of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation.
