The municipal services of the capital continue to work around the clock in an enhanced mode. In one night, they collected and removed 168 trucks of snow from the city, the official website of the Astana Akimat reports.
Since the morning of December 5, streets, roads, squares and sidewalks of the capital have been cleared of snow and ice by more than 2.7 thousand road workers and 890 units of special equipment.
168 trucks or 1,892 cubic meters of snow were taken out of the city during the night shift from December 4-5.
In total, since the beginning of the winter period, about 839 thousand cubic meters of snow have been exported from the city by more than 65 thousand flights.
According to the rules, first of all, areas with very heavy traffic are cleared in the city so that there is no congestion on the roads. Also, areas with medium intensity are removed from snow — squares, station areas, sidewalks, access roads to social facilities, etc.
The priority is cleaning on central streets, on passenger transport routes, bus stops and sidewalks.
There are several equipped snow ranges in the capital. They are equipped with a system for reading license plates of dump trucks, video surveillance cameras are installed here, lighting is connected.
We ask residents and guests of the capital to be careful on the roads, observe safety rules, and refrain from long-distance trips in case of a storm warning.
In case of an emergency, call 112.
