300 cases per year: how Astana punishes vandals for damage to the city

The next vandals who caused damage to other people's property were brought to justice, the official website of the Mayor's Office of Astana reports.
So, at about 06:00 a.m. on December 3, a 27-year-old Astana resident in an alcoholic state damaged a car, thereby causing material damage.
On December 2, at about 17:00, a 19-year-old young man damaged a car during the conflict.
All violators were found and brought to administrative responsibility under Article 147-1 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
It should be noted that since the beginning of the year, preventive work has been carried out in Astana as part of the Stop Vandal campaign, which was supported by volunteers, activists, famous athletes, and residents of the city.
The purpose of the action is to stop any manifestations of vandalism and preserve cleanliness and order in the capital.
Since the beginning of the year, the court has already punished more than 300 people for intentional damage to other people's property, pollution of public areas, damage to buildings and residential premises. All of them were brought to justice.
Vandalism prevention is carried out in coordination with the City Prosecutor's Office and the Police Department.
