More than 17 thousand hectares of acreage were provided by the branch of Kazvodkhoz in Karaganda and Pavlodar regions. This is 1,900 hectares more than last year. This was announced at the site of the regional communications service by the director of the branch Ondasyn Zhienkulov.
In total, this year the branch signed contracts for the supply of irrigation water with 37 farms. Today, most farms use modern moisture-saving sprinkler systems.
The branch also began work on conducting a multifactorial survey and developing a safety declaration for 8 dams. Next year, it is planned to inspect 6 more dams. In order to ensure throughput, the shoreline of the Tuzdinsky reservoir is being cleaned of surface and underwater vegetation.
"The growing season in the region was successful, there was no shortage of water. Peasant farms are equipped with water metering devices, with the preservation of archival data and the possibility of transmitting this data. Some farms in small areas are trying to introduce drip irrigation, which makes it possible to effectively use the full potential of surface irrigation," said Ondasyn Zhienkulov, director of the Kanysh Satpayev Canal branch.
