Almaty Mayor Yerbolat Dossayev visited the SUS Environment solid waste recycling plant located in Jiaxing (near Shanghai) during his working trip to the PRC.

Shanghai SUS Environment is a world-leading company providing comprehensive services in the field of ecology and energy. It is a leader in the global market for converting waste into energy. Founded in 2008, the company has waste processing plants in China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Uzbekistan. Today, the company employs more than 3.5 thousand people, has 10 international management centers and 1 global production center.
The main feature of SUS Environment plants is their equipment with modern sound insulation and air filtration systems. This technology minimizes noise levels and eliminates unpleasant odors.
In addition, green areas, lawns and trees are planted around the plants, creating a favorable ecological environment for local residents.
The company's co-founder and chief operating officer Zhu Xiaoping told Almaty Mayor Yerbolat Dossayev that the energy efficiency of SUS Environment's waste treatment plants has reached 26%. This is higher than the industry average and meets the environmental standards of China and Europe.


SUS Environment is the No. 1 supplier of waste-to-energy technologies and equipment. It holds 273 patents applied to 287 waste treatment plants. It is also one of the world's three largest companies investing in the development of eco-industrial parks. Today, the company has implemented 84 projects, achieving a waste treatment capacity of 110 thousand tons per day and generating 18 billion kWh of electricity per year. This energy will allow heating an area of ​​2.65 million square meters.
Currently, the company is working on the development and implementation of new SUS 4.0 technologies. This initiative includes technologies for intelligent management of carbon emissions and efficient use of heat when converting waste into energy. An online monitoring system, carbon capture technology, and an intelligent management system will also be introduced.
