The opening ceremony of the exhibition "National Epic in Book Graphics of Kazakhstan" was held on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Abilkhan Kasteyev State Museum of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
This important cultural event invites the audience to delve deeper into the world of the Kazakh epic through graphic works by outstanding artists.
The exhibition is aimed at demonstrating the significance of the national literary and artistic heritage of Kazakhstan, educating a new generation of artists, and introducing the public to the cultural values ​​of the Kazakh people.
The exhibition presented about 90 graphic works and rare publications that preserve the treasures of the national epic. Visitors enjoyed images of heroes, beauties, sages, and mythological characters created in various artistic techniques, from classical etching to original graphics. Each work reveals unique events and images of characters from national legends, inspiring artists to deeply understand the literary work.
Among the unique works at the exhibition are graphic sheets and illustrations for the poems "Kobylandy Batyr", "Illustrations to the Epic Poems of the Kazakh People", "Alpamys Batyr", "Bozzhigit", "Ayman-Sholpan" and others. They impressively conveyed the emotions of the characters in their works, giving the works a festive mood, restraint and meaningful content.
The above-mentioned and many other graphic works contribute to a new look at the epics, which have been passed down from generation to generation for centuries, preserving the cultural code and spiritual values ​​​​of the Kazakh people.
The exhibition "National Epics in Book Graphics of Kazakhstan" will not only demonstrate the skill of Kazakhstani artists, but also allow visitors to admire the rich cultural heritage of national legends, which combines love, wisdom, and heroism.
