Systematic work is being carried out in Shymkent to provide settlements and microdistricts with high-quality Internet and improve the quality of mobile communication networks. This year, according to the plan, a number of settlements will be covered by a fiber-optic network.

Today, more than 120 houses in the Zhanatalap settlement of the Turan district have been connected to the fiber-optic network. About 2,000 houses have been provided with technical means to connect to the Internet. The private investor responsible for these works is the company "SpetsAvtomatikaService". In the Utemis settlement of the Enbekshin district, more than 150 houses have been provided with technical means and more than 60 houses have been provided with a fiber-optic network. Relevant work is being carried out by the company "Transtelecom" in this area.

According to the plan, a total of 18 settlements will be connected to a broadband optical network this year by the companies "SpetsAvtomatikaService", "Transtelecom", "Beeline", "I-Link net". A memorandum has been signed with private investors to connect remote settlements to high-quality Internet. In addition, work is underway to install base stations in points with low communication quality in the city.
