Today, the XX session of the regional maslikhat was held with the participation of the head of the region, Nurlybek Nalibayev, and 6 issues were considered on the agenda.
The regional akim touched upon the achievements in the socio-economic development of the region and made a proposal for the initial clarification of this year's regional budget.
"At the expanded meeting of the Government held on January 28, I reported to our President on the progress of the socio-economic development of the Kyzylorda region. The Head of State gave a positive assessment of the work done and instructed to intensify the work. Last year, as a result of joint work with you, economic growth was ensured in our region.
We started this year with positive results as well. There is an increase in macroeconomic indicators for January. Gross agricultural output increased by 2.1 percent, construction work by 67.2 percent, housing commissioned by 18.9 percent, attracted investments by 9.8 percent, total trade by 2.3 percent, and communication services by 0.2 percent.
As you know, the volume of oil production is decreasing every year. In January of this year, 262.6 thousand tons of oil were produced, which is 11.1 percent less than in the same period last year.
Taking into account this trend in the oil and gas sector, we have given priority to the comprehensive development of the processing industry and the agricultural sector. In terms of economic diversification, last year, 21 investment projects worth 37 billion tenge were implemented in our region. This year, 33 new projects worth 288 billion. 600 million tenge are planned, creating about a thousand jobs. The share of roads in good condition reached 92 percent in 2024. This year, 329 kilometers of roads were repaired, exceeding the indicator by 95 percent. 98.6 percent of the population is covered by centralized drinking water, and this year we will bring this figure to 100 percent. The gas coverage rate is currently 78 percent, and by the end of the year it will be 82 percent.
On December 9, 2024, we approved the regional budget for 2025 with you. Today it is being submitted for initial clarification.
The free balances formed by the results of 2024, the funds optimized from the administrators of the regional budget program are being redirected to financing projects. All of the proposed projects are based on improving the quality of life of the population and ensuring economic stability. We ask for your support," said N. Nalibayev.
It should be noted that in recent years, in the development of the regional center, including the creation of a favorable environment for the population, landscaping, landscaping, construction of cultural centers and recreation facilities have been intensively carried out. Today, it is planned to renovate parks to enhance the architectural appearance of the city and its districts, create comfortable conditions for residents and guests to relax and walk, and increase their tourist potential.
