Akim of Abay region Berik Uali visited large heating boiler houses and thermal power plant No. 1 in the regional center and got acquainted with their work. The Gabbasov boiler house on the right bank of the city provides heat to 70 multi-storey buildings, 15 social, 155 commercial facilities, and 23 budget institutions. In 2025, it is planned to build a connecting line between the “103-103a” and “Gabbasov” boiler houses, and replace the collector and pump in the “Ortalyk” heating boiler house.
Currently, a block-modular boiler house is being built in the Karagayly microdistrict. The project is being implemented at the expense of a private investor. When the facility is commissioned, 44 multi-storey buildings, a 1,200-seat school and other social facilities in the district will be heated.
During the tour of the facilities, Deputy Akim of the region Dimitriy Garikov reported to the head of the region on the work of heating centers in the city and the construction of CHP No. 3. Berik Uali instructed the heads responsible for heating to constantly monitor heating systems and respond to residents' requests in a timely manner in order to prevent emergencies.
As part of preparations for the autumn-winter period of 2024-2025, 22 projects were implemented in the region. Within the framework of these projects, work was carried out on 26.1 kilometers of heating networks and 17 heat sources. In Semey, 14.7 kilometers of networks and 4.8 kilometers of networks and 10 heat sources underwent current repairs. As a result of the work, the wear of the region's heating networks decreased from 64.2% to 60.3%. Applications were submitted to the republican budget for 5 projects in 2025.
The head of the region also got acquainted with the construction work of the Schoolchildren's Palace, which is being built on the left bank. The total area of the building is 2.1 hectares, the area is 9,800 square meters.
Today, more than 80 percent of the construction work has been completed. In accordance with the project, the Schoolchildren's Palace is divided into six main areas: scientific and technical, artistic and aesthetic, sports and recreation, humanitarian, psychological, historical and local history.
“This facility is important for our city. It allows schoolchildren to effectively spend their free time. Therefore, it is necessary to complete the construction of the building in a timely manner. The necessary assistance will be provided by the akimat,” said Berik Uali.
