International Education Corporation and University for the Creative Arts sign memorandum of understanding

On February 20, 2025, the International Education Corporation (KazGASA) and the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) signed a memorandum of understanding at the UK Future Places Forum. This step will be an important milestone in strengthening educational ties between the UK and Kazakhstan.

UCA is one of the UK's leading specialist universities in the field of art, design and the creative industries. It will introduce innovative educational methods and technologies as part of this partnership. With campuses in Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham and Maidstone TV Studios, UCA offers students of IBC (KazGASA) the opportunity to participate in academic exchange programs. Access to UCA’s state-of-the-art VR labs, animation studios, and 3D design suites will also allow Kazakhstani students to learn new technologies and apply them to the creative industry.

As part of this partnership, UCA plans to launch a franchise education program at the Kazakh Academy of Design and Architecture (KazGASA). It will offer five internationally recognized undergraduate programs: Industrial Design, Interior Design, Business and Management, Digital Marketing and Social Media, and Graphic Design. The UCA Academic Partnership Committee recently reviewed the project, and the partnership is now moving to the next stage – the validation process. At this stage, the UCA academic commission and an external expert will work out all the details of the program and check its compliance with UCA academic standards.

The signed memorandum will open up the opportunity for students to receive advanced education in the field of creative industries and pave the way for strengthening international partnerships in the field of education.
