1. TURKESTAN REGION
The "Kazsuchar" branch in the Turkestan region last year provided water to 332 thousand hectares of arable land. The region has 18 reservoirs, 11 dams, and 1891 canals with a total length of 5733 kilometers. During the 2024 irrigation period, 1.9 billion cubic meters of water were provided to farmers from the water sources of the Turkestan region.
2. KYZYLORDA REGION
Kyzylorda region has 286 thousand hectares of irrigated land, of which 178.6 thousand hectares are rotational crops brought into the engineering system. In particular, 159.3 thousand hectares are rice rotational crops, 19.3 thousand hectares are fodder and vegetable rotational crops. In 2024, a total of 189.4 thousand hectares were sown in the region. Including 85.6 thousand hectares of rice fields. The Kazsuchar branch in the Kyzylorda region provided 3.7 billion cubic meters of water to the farmers of the region.
3. ALMATY REGION
The D. Konayev branch of the Big Almaty Canal last year provided more than 51 thousand hectares of arable land with irrigation water. The branch concluded 2,768 contracts with farmers and provided 545 million cubic meters of water. Thanks to the 2 largest reservoirs in the Almaty region: the Bartogai and Kurty reservoirs, the vegetation period in the region was successful. Last year, about 1.4 billion cubic meters of water was supplied to the Bartogai reservoir, and about 195 million cubic meters to the Kurty reservoir.
4. ZHETISU REGION
The Kazsuchar branch in the Zhetysu region serves 180 thousand hectares of irrigated land. Last year, the branch concluded 7,329 contracts with agricultural producers and provided more than 925 million cubic meters of water to farmers during the irrigation period.
5. ZHAMBYL REGION
Last year, the Kazsuchar branch in Zhambyl region provided water to more than 162 thousand hectares of land. In 2024, all 10 production units of the branch concluded water supply contracts with 3,836 farms and provided 533 million cubic meters of water.
