Today, an expanded board meeting of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources was held.
The results of the work of the sectors supervised by the ministry over the past year and future plans were discussed.
The board meeting was attended by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, R. Sklyar, deputies of Parliament, representatives of the Presidential Administration, the Government Office, state bodies, regional akimats, members of the Public Council of the Ministry and organizations affiliated with the Ministry participated.
The results of the Ministry's work in 2024 were noted at the meeting of the Board: the Concept of the transition to a "green economy" was updated by the Presidential Decree, the action plan for its implementation was approved by the Government Resolution, 103 events were considered in 9 areas of the Green Economy.
The Government Resolution approved the Concept of the Development of Ecological Culture "Clean Kazakhstan" for 2024-2029.
Last year, support was strengthened to ensure financing of environmental projects.
120 billion tenge was allocated through the Industrial Development Fund for the implementation of environmental projects aimed at improving the state of the environment in the manufacturing industry. More than tenge were allocated.
The “EcoQoldau” program, designed to pay special enterprises engaged in waste collection and processing, was relaunched.
The modernization of the machinery and tractor fleet of forestry institutions continued.
In 2023-2024, about 68 billion tenge will be spent on the purchase of about 2 thousand units of machinery and 4 thousand units of equipment. tenge was allocated.
It is worth noting that such a large-scale modernization is being carried out for the first time in the years of independence.
The Ministry also faces important tasks in 2025.
Firstly, the President's "Clean Kazakhstan" initiative is receiving high support from the people of Kazakhstan.
This year, the "TazaLike" festival is planned to be held in Astana to solemnly celebrate the results of 2024.
Secondly, taking into account the shortcomings of last year, the implementation of investment projects in the field of solid waste management will be strengthened.
In order to expedite the implementation of investment projects for deep wood processing and increase their investment attractiveness, a procedure for concluding contracts with investors without an auction was adopted at the meeting of the Investment Headquarters held in January of this year.
Another important direction is the preservation of rare and endangered animals.
Last year, projects for the reintroduction of the Turanian tiger and Przewalski's horse were launched. Also, ecological corridors for the free movement of deer on the border with the Russian Federation and the formation of migration routes are underway.
Introducing an early detection system on the territory of 24 state forest owners, starting work on scaling up the cultivation of planting material with a closed root system, completing the purchase of firefighting equipment under leasing financing, purchasing timber harvesting equipment for the Semey Forest Reserve, starting work on opening a regional education center for forestry workers on the basis of the Akkol forestry, opening a branch of the Kazakh Scientific Institute of Forestry in the city of Kyzylorda, continuing work on the creation and expansion of specially protected natural areas, expanding 3 specially protected areas by 648 thousand hectares.
Also, jointly with "Zhasyl Damu" JSC, continuing the implementation of the "Clean Tourism" project in 6 national parks, automating checkpoints in 6 specially protected natural areas, and eliminating cash payments.
The next important issue is improving legislation in the areas monitored by the Ministry. Currently, the Majilis is considering large-scale amendments initiated by the deputies of the Parliament and the Government.
