In order to ensure the legal rights of people with disabilities and create an accessible environment for them, 1,080 social infrastructure facilities have been fully adapted in the Karaganda region. By the end of 2024, it is planned to adapt 691 facilities in the Karaganda region, and the plan has been implemented in the region ahead of schedule.
– I would like to give an example of the pedestrian path from the Shakhter stadium to the railway station along Bukhar Zhyrau Avenue in Karaganda. The new pavements are smooth, the slope is safe to walk and climb. Thanks to this, I can freely go to the Nurken Abdyrov Sports Palace, the Central Park of Karaganda, the Palace of Culture of the Miners, the City Mall SOO and other socio-cultural facilities. Also, many buses are equipped with ramps, and travel on public transport, that is, buses, is free for people with disabilities. In general, I can say that work is being actively carried out to ensure accessibility for people with disabilities in Karaganda, and I believe that the situation will only improve in the future, - shared his thoughts Naiman Zhaksygorin, a citizen with the first group of disabilities.
Currently, the Concept of Inclusive Policy for 2025–2030, the Road Map of the Amanat Party for 2023–2027, and the “Together with the People” project, developed by order of the Head of State, are being implemented in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
