Today, a large-scale clean-up day was held in Shymkent within the framework of the "Clean Kazakhstan" program. This event was organized with the aim of planting trees, cleaning the city, and forming an ecological culture. The district akimats led the environmental event. Active citizens of the city, veterans, employees of various organizations and institutions, students, youth organizations, and ordinary residents took part in the clean-up days.
For example, residents of the Al-Farabi district cleaned the Koshkar Ata River from Ordabasy Square to Republic Avenue. About 300 people and 21 special equipment participated in this cleanup in the Al-Farabi district, and more than 9,300 meters of sidewalks and playgrounds were cleaned and made comfortable.
In general, 40 tons of garbage were removed during the cleanup in the district.
In the Karatau district, about 2,000 people and 28 special equipment were mobilized for the cleanup.
During the cleanup, 2,600 meters of irrigation trays, curbs, 5,800 meters of sidewalks, courtyards of multi-storey buildings, and the territories of business facilities, schools, and kindergartens were cleaned.
In total, 120 cubic meters of garbage were removed during the cleanup.
Also, 536 people participated in the cleanup in the Enbekshi district, including administrative employees, veterans of the "Murager" veterans public association, employees of contracting companies and utility companies. They removed 75 cubic meters of garbage with the help of 20 special equipment. In particular, they cleaned the streets of N. Torekulov and the banks of the Shymkent Canal, trimmed trees, collected garbage and bushes.
In addition, 500 people participated in the clean-up in the Turan district and removed 240 tons of garbage, while more than 300 people participated in the clean-up in the Abay district and removed about 35 tons of garbage and waste.
It should be noted that the clean-up in Shymkent within the framework of the Clean Kazakhstan program is planned to continue regularly.
