The working visit of the delegation led by regional akim Nurlybek Nalibayev to the People's Republic of China continued in Yinchuan, the administrative center of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
The regional akim met with leaders of companies involved in rice cultivation and processing, such as "Ningxia Guangyin Rice Industry Co., Ltd." and "Ningxia State Farm," to discuss attracting investment based on the region's potential.
"The Kyzylorda region is the largest rice-growing area in Kazakhstan, producing over 90% of the country's rice and salt. We fully supply the domestic market and actively export products to foreign and neighboring countries. Each year, we cultivate rice on more than 80,000 hectares.
Last year, we harvested 500,000 tons of rice, of which 73,200 tons were exported. Additionally, the region has land for growing grain, oilseed crops, feed, potatoes, vegetables, and melons.
There are about 700 farms in the region that grow 15 different rice varieties, but only 40 companies process rice. Since rice is the main agricultural product here, we are keen on its deep processing.
Given your extensive experience, we invite you to collaborate with the Kyzylorda region. We have skilled entrepreneurs developing their industries here. The Akimat is ready to provide land, engineering infrastructure, facilitate the sale of products, and offer comprehensive support," N. Nalibayev stated.
During the meeting, the regional head invited company executives to visit the region to better understand its potential.
