In the Syrdarya region, in the village of Besaryk, a sports complex was opened with the participation of the regional akim, Nurlybek Nalibayev. The event was attended by heads of relevant industries, labor veterans, representatives of the intelligentsia, and local residents.
The head of the region congratulated the villagers and emphasized that the rural infrastructure has gained another important and architecturally beautiful facility. "Today we are pleased to meet you in the village of Besaryk, where unity and prosperity thrive. Our president, Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich, stated during a meeting with the winners of the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games: 'By developing mass sports, we pave the way for professional sports and, most importantly, improve the health of the nation. The state allocates funds for the development of sports infrastructure, creating the necessary conditions for children to engage in sports from an early age. There are more than 20 000 sports grounds and over 16 000 specialized complexes and halls across the country. All these facilities must be fully operational and accessible to everyone who wants to participate in sports,' the President noted."
Sports play a crucial role in showcasing our nation globally, elevating our flag, and honoring our national anthem. In October, a new table tennis facility was inaugurated in Kyzylorda, and this May, a Central Stadium that meets international criteria will be opened. Soon, construction will commence on the multifunctional Kyzylorda Arena and a complex dedicated to physical education and health.
The Syrdarya region is actively advancing in sports development. Last year, our athletes achieved remarkable success, securing 29 gold, 20 silver, and 47 bronze medals at national championships, along with 4 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals at the Asian championships, and 1 gold medal at the world championship.
The newly inaugurated sports complex offers excellent facilities for local youth to participate in physical activities and sports. It is hoped that the children training here will grow strong in both health and spirit, brimming with energy and vigor, ultimately becoming citizens who will bring pride to our nation.
"This new facility will promote a healthy lifestyle," stated N. Nalibayev.
During the opening ceremony, sports industry professionals and veterans received letters of appreciation from the regional akim. Aitbay Kosherbayev, a public figure and honorary citizen of Kyzylorda, extended his congratulations to the attendees, while Akbar Akzhigitov, the chairman of the Besaryk rural public council, presented a bat. The complex can accommodate up to 100 children simultaneously, offering training in Kazakh wrestling, judo, boxing, Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling, taekwondo, volleyball, and football.
