On February 24, 2025, the next meeting of the Sectoral Council on Professional Qualifications in the Oil and Gas, Oil Refining and Oil and Gas and Chemical Industries was held.

Experts of the National Body for Professional Qualifications under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan informed the participants about the changes introduced in the rules for the recognition of professional qualifications and the development of professional standards.

At the meeting, three major oil operators of Kazakhstan: TCO, KPO and NCOC made reports on the ongoing work on updating professional standards.

In addition, representatives of the "Situation and Analytical Center of the Fuel and Energy Complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan" JSC spoke about the ongoing work on creating competency centers to train specialists from local enterprises. This is aimed at promoting the development of the oil and gas services and goods market in the oil and gas sector.

The meeting of the Industry Council emphasizes the importance of the topics discussed for the development and improvement of professional qualifications in the oil and gas, oil refining and oil and gas chemistry sectors of Kazakhstan.
