In this regard, the city's public utilities will be switched to work in an enhanced mode, and around-the-clock duty of drivers, machine operators and road workers will be organized at production bases. In order to prevent ice phenomena in the areas before the onset of snowfall, 204 sand spreaders will be on duty. It is planned to treat the main highways with liquid reagents in advance before snowfall. It is planned to involve 624 units of special equipment and 1,380 road workers around the clock.
In addition, 46 operational brigades will be deployed to patrol the condition of the road surface to prevent and remove ice on dangerous sections of roads, on descents, ascents, and exits from intersections. A 24-hour duty will be organized in the district akimats to monitor the work process.
Due to the expected icing on the carriageway of roads and ice on sidewalks, we ask drivers and pedestrians to take precautions. We advise drivers to reduce speed, increase the distance between cars, and avoid sharp maneuvers.
People with little driving experience should abandon driving and switch to public transport. Pedestrians should take precautions when walking on sidewalks due to the formation of ice.
