Our country celebrates March 1 - Thanksgiving Day. This year, the celebration of Thanksgiving Day in Astana will be remembered by another important event - the start of events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. Dozens of various sports, cultural and educational events will be held in Astana on the occasion of the anniversary, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.

During the holidays, cultural, sports, educational organizations, the capital's AKP and other institutions are preparing various events for residents and guests of the city. On the occasion of Thanksgiving Day, thematic exhibitions aimed at developing customs and traditions and various ways of expressing gratitude, educational classes for children and students are being held in Astana. In general, all the planned events will contribute to the unification of society around the values ​​of independence, the strengthening of national unity and patriotism. On February 27, the AMANAT party and the capital's voluntary youth organizations will traditionally help the elderly and fill their yards. On this day, the ANC's traditional charity event will be held at the nursing home. A concert will be organized for the public and national dishes from ethnocultural associations will be tasted. Also, on February 27, a charity event called "30 Years of Unity and Solidarity" will be held at school No. 43 in the capital for children from socially disadvantaged families. On February 28, thematic classes "30 Years of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan" will be held in the city's schools. Throughout Nauryz, meetings with veterans and ANC activists, various events will be organized in schools.

On March 1, the solemn events in the capital will begin with an important event: the opening ceremony of the memorial plaque "30 years of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan" dedicated to the anniversary of the ANC will take place in the House of Friendship. This will be followed by an international round table, during which the congratulatory speech of the President of Kazakhstan on the anniversary of the Assembly will be read. This event will be the official start of the year dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Kazakh People's Republic.

After that, the participants of the round table will visit the "Thank you to the Kazakh people" monument, where a solemn wreath-laying ceremony will be held.
In addition, a video challenge with congratulations from young people of different ethnic groups will begin on social networks.

Another important event is the launch of the "Caravan of Charity" campaign aimed at supporting needy groups of the population.

On this day, March 1, a festive concert with the participation of creative groups will be held at the House of Friendship. A festive table will be organized for children.
