The Ministry of Health is introducing amendments to the regulatory legal acts regulating the activities of pharmaceutical companies in Kazakhstan.

The proposed measures are aimed at improving the investment climate, developing the industry, and producing high-quality domestic pharmaceutical products with export potential.

New approaches provide for the expansion of preferences for pharmaceutical companies by signing investment agreements by decision of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At the same time, the term of conclusion of contracts will be determined by the quality of the manufactured medicines and the level of isolation of production.

The establishment of counter-obligations for the development of export potential should, among other things, contribute to restraining the prices of medicines within the country.

New investment projects will be accompanied by additional measures of state support through the implementation of a roadmap that provides for the comprehensive strengthening of clinical and laboratory bases.

Pharmaceutical products manufactured in accordance with the standards of good manufacturing practice will be available to the population within the guaranteed volume of free medical care.
