Spring field work will begin in the Zhambyl region in mid-March. In order to organize this important period, material and technical requirements have been fully prepared, and the timely implementation of agrotechnical measures has been taken under control. This was reported by the head of the agricultural department, Kairat Koshenov.

In 2024, agricultural products worth 488.5 billion tenge were produced. 647 thousand tons of sweet potatoes were harvested, 597 thousand tons of which were sold to sugar factories.

According to Kairat Koshenov, last year, thanks to favorable weather conditions, farmers' good mastery of agrotechnical measures, and the effectiveness of state support, the total volume of production increased by 3 times compared to 2023.

- In the last 4 years, 650 thousand tons of products were harvested from 25 thousand hectares of land, and farmers achieved this yield in 1 year, achieving a record yield, - he says.

This year, it is planned to plant agricultural crops on 660 thousand hectares (in 2024 - 626.7 thousand hectares). This figure is 33 thousand hectares more than last year.

55 thousand tons of seeds and 7,317 pieces of agricultural machinery necessary for spring sowing are ready.

The government has allocated 20 thousand tons of discounted fuel and lubricants. This will have a positive impact on farmers' timely completion of spring field work.

It is planned to purchase more than 400 agricultural machinery and upgrade it by 6.5%.

83.1 tons of mineral fertilizers will be applied to 418 thousand hectares of land.

At the same time, it is planned to provide 3 billion tenge loans to farmers in the region through the "Agrocredit Corporation" at 5 percent to finance spring field work.

It should be noted that in 2025, 22.7 billion tenge will be allocated from the local budget to subsidize farmers, of which 10.6 billion tenge is allocated for the development of crop production. Thanks to this, 325.1 billion tenge will be invested in crop production. It is expected that the production of products worth tenge will be produced.
