The "Astana - Korgalzhyn" road leading to the Korgalzhyn nature reserve, home to pink flamingos, will be repaired. This became known during the working visit of Transport Minister Marat Karabayev to the Akmola and Kostanay regions.

The moderate repair work on this road began last year. The 39-kilometer road from Akmol village to Orazak village has been repaired. The first stage of the repair work will be completed this year.

In addition, this year, medium repair work will begin on the 110-kilometer road section from Orazak village to the Korgalzhyn reserve. The road section from Korgalzhyn village to the reserve is in special focus. This road was built in the 60s of the last century and currently consists only of soil without asphalt concrete. Now a new road will be built and safe traffic will be ensured. It is expected that this will positively contribute to the increase in tourist traffic and the development of small and medium-sized businesses in the region.

The modernization of the "Astana - Korgalzhyn" highway was undertaken as part of the large-scale medium repair work on inter-regional and inter-district dirt roads. The total number of roads to be repaired in accordance with the President's instructions has increased to 10 thousand kilometers.

Within the framework of this task, about 8 thousand kilometers of roads of republican significance will be repaired in 2025, and more than 2 thousand roads will be repaired in 2026.
