Akim of Turkestan region Nuralkhan Kusherov met with Chinese investors and discussed the implementation of a number of important projects. The construction of a five-star hotel complex and an aqua park in the regional center is underway. These projects are important for the city of Turkestan. This project will give a new impetus to the city, which is experiencing a boom in tourism and the number of visitors is increasing every year.
Turkestan region is a region that has achieved significant achievements in developing effective and stable cooperation with the PRC. Today, bilateral relations are systematically developing in the fields of economy, trade, education, agriculture and infrastructure, and the implementation of Chinese investments and joint projects is showing positive results in strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between the regions.
In particular, investors from Weinan are interested in investing in Turkestan. In this regard, the "Weinan Investment Trade Association in Kazakhstan" was established in China. A number of proposals were made at the meeting as a pilot project. The regional akim discussed new projects with foreign investors and said that the state would provide comprehensive support.
At the Kazakhstan-China Joint Business Council held within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit, a memorandum of cooperation was signed with Chinese businessmen on 4 large investment projects worth a total of 1 billion 615 million US dollars. In particular, a five-star 18-story hotel and villa complex, an aqua park and a factory for the production of video surveillance cameras will be built in the city of Turkestan. A number of large projects have been launched to produce alternative energy sources, which are important for the energy-scarce Turkestan region.
