Doha, February 27, 2025 – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alibek Kuantyrov met with Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sultan Al-Mureikhi during his visit to Doha.

During the talks, the parties stressed the importance of strengthening trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties and confirmed their readiness to further strengthen political dialogue at the highest level.

On this occasion, the implementation of the agreements reached as a result of the negotiations between the heads of the two states in Doha and Astana last year, including agreements aimed at implementing joint investment projects, was discussed.

As part of the visit, the Kazakh delegation also held talks with Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry of Qatar Mohammed Hassan Alzakski.

The interlocutors exchanged views on areas for strengthening joint action to increase mutual trade turnover and strengthen economic partnership, in accordance with the instructions of the leaders of the two countries.

This year, a high-level joint intergovernmental The importance of holding a regular meeting of the commission and revitalizing the work of the Business Council was emphasized.

At a meeting with Mehmed Ozozan, Executive Director for Projects of the Qatari UCC Holding Company, the issues of implementing investment projects within the framework of the Agreement on Establishing a Long-Term Strategic Partnership for the Development of Projects in Key Industries, signed by the governments of the two countries on March 20, 2024, were discussed.
