Medium repairs are being carried out on inter-regional and inter-district roads. In accordance with the instructions of the Head of State, specialists will cover 10 thousand kilometers of roads of republican significance with medium repairs. For example, the Zhezkazgan-Petropavl highway, which connects four regions of the country, will undergo a complete repair.

Medium repairs on this road began in 2024, covering 590 kilometers. This year, another 113 kilometers of roads are planned to be repaired.

Minister of Transport Marat Karabayev inspected the condition of the aforementioned road during his visit to the city of Arkalyk, Kostanay region, and got acquainted with the results of last year's road construction season.

The total length of the mentioned highway is 940 kilometers. 125 kilometers of it pass through the territory of Kostanay region.

Medium repairs on the highway are important for the development of the region, increasing transport accessibility, and improving road safety. The Zhezkazgan-Petropavl highway is the main transport artery connecting Arkalyk with the regional center Kostanay, as well as the cities of Astana and Zhezkazgan.
