On the eve of World Civil Defense Day, the Minister of Emergency Situations Shyngyz Arynov and the regional governor Yermaganbet Bolekpayev visited the 52859th military unit named after Martbek Mamyraev in Karaganda. 

The military personnel were presented with the keys to new special equipment that increases combat readiness and operational efficiency.

The department was provided with military rescue vehicles based on KamAZ and Toyota Hilux. This is domestically produced equipment. The high-performance vehicles are equipped in accordance with modern requirements.

– Providing the department's military rescue units with modern equipment and technology is a guarantee of speed and efficiency in dealing with emergency situations. We continue to work systematically to strengthen the material and technical base in order to be ready for any challenges, including the upcoming flood period, - noted Chingiz Arynov.

The minister noted that the modernization and technical equipment of civil defense remains a priority. 

This year, 72 units of equipment, including unmanned aerial vehicles, 

Modern clothing and accessories for personnel were also purchased.

– Today, our military unit has received 22 modern vehicles. Previously, the fleet was updated in 2015. Currently, we are working on development, and another influx of new equipment is expected next year, - said M. Baglan Kenbeylov, commander of the 52859th military unit named after Mamraev.

Chingis Arynov and Ermagambet Bolekpayev got acquainted with the service conditions of officers and soldiers.

The military units of the Civil Defense of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are responsible for protecting the population, objects and territories from natural and man-made disasters, as well as carrying out emergency rescue and urgent work World Civil Defense Day is celebrated annually on March 1. The holiday was approved by a resolution of the General Assembly of the International Civil Defense Organization. Its goal is to promote knowledge about civil defense and raise the prestige of the national rescue service.
