A lecture on the harms of tobacco products and drug addiction was held at secondary school No. 99 in Astana, organized by the Yesil District Prosecutor's Office and the Department for Combating Drug Trafficking of the City Police Department, the official website of the capital's akimat reported.

The main goal of the event was to promote responsibility for the illegal trafficking of drugs and the harm of their use and responsibility for one's own health.
First, a video about drug distribution and the fate of those who ended up in correctional institutions for this reason was shown to high school students. Next, the senior operational officer of the Drug Abuse Control Department of the Astana City Police Department, police lieutenant colonel Leyla Razimova, explained in detail to the students about the consequences of drug crimes.

According to the inspector for juvenile affairs of the Yesil district police department, police captain Aigul Madmarova, meetings on administrative offenses are held in schools throughout the district.

"Police inspectors of the Yesil district organize lectures on general administrative offenses in the schools they are assigned to. We often explain to schoolchildren about the consequences of drug crimes in particular. Not only students, but also parents participate in such meetings," says Aigul Madmarova.

It should be noted that today the "Law and Order" and "Astana - a City Without Drugs" campaigns are being held in the capital. Volunteers from district akimats and the "Astana Zhastary" resource center are erasing banned drug graffiti in public places.
