The official opening of the Beruseal Caspian plant, which produces equipment for the oil and gas industry, took place in Atyrau. This is an important step towards the development of domestic production and increasing the share of Kazakhstani goods in large oil and gas projects.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the Atyrau regional administration, the International Center for the Development of Oil and Gas Engineering, as well as large oil and gas companies.
Previously, the Head of State stated the task of developing domestic production, attracting new technologies and creating jobs. The launch of this plant is an important step towards reducing dependence on imports and developing local enterprises.
The new enterprise will produce quick-release clamps for pipes and composite materials for their repair. Previously, this equipment was purchased abroad, but now it will be produced in Kazakhstan.
The Ministry of Energy, together with Beruseal, as well as major oil and gas companies and the International Center for the Development of Oil and Gas Engineering, has developed a localization plan, which provides for the transfer of technologies and the creation of joint ventures.
It should be noted that since 2021, Kazakhstan has been actively working to increase the share of domestic production in the oil and gas sector. To date, 24 agreements have been concluded with international investors and equipment manufacturers, 27 localization projects have been developed, of which 7 plants have been commissioned.
