On February 28, 2025, the official website of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan published a notice for holding an auction for the right to use subsoil resources for hydrocarbons A notice on holding an auction based on applications and the terms of its holding has been posted at http://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/energo/documents/details/805565?lang=kk Following the results of consideration of applications, 11 subsoil plots were put up for auction. The deadline for submitting applications to participate in the auction is two months from the date of publication of the notice on holding an auction. The notice shall contain the information provided for in paragraph 2 of Article 95 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Subsoil and Subsoil Use” (hereinafter referred to as the Code). In this regard, all persons interested in obtaining subsoil rights may submit an application for holding an auction on the website of the electronic auction operator “Information and Settlement Center” JSC (link: www.e-kazyna.kz).
The terms and procedure for granting subsoil use rights for hydrocarbons on the basis of an auction are provided for in Articles 93-99 of the Code and the Rules for holding an auction in electronic form using the Internet resource of the operator of electronic auctions for granting subsoil use rights for hydrocarbons (Order of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 269 dated July 30, 2020).
Thus, this press release is published in order to inform all those wishing to participate in the auction for granting subsoil use rights held by the Ministry of Energy.
