On the eve of International Women's Day, March 8, an exhibition of works of art entitled "Spring Rhapsody" organized by the Almaty Center for Active Longevity (CAL) opened at the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The exhibition features 96 works of art by 31 CAL visitors aged 61 to 84. The works were created in various media, including watercolor, gouache, acrylic, and oil. The themes and genres of the works range from floral compositions depicting spring and female beauty to landscapes, still lifes, abstractions, decorative painting, and graphics. The inspiration for creating these works was both the natural beauty and the inner world of the authors, which gives the exhibition a deep philosophical meaning.

The purpose of the exhibition is to show society that there are no age restrictions in creativity and art. For the participants of the CAL, painting was not only a way of self-expression, but also an important tool of art therapy that strengthens physical and emotional health. The exhibition is designed to show that art can be started at any age, and this not only inspires, but also brings positive changes in life.
The initiator of the exhibition was the Center's teacher and artist Marlan Nysanbayev, a member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Georgia, Vice-President of the Academy of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan and winner of a number of awards. His mentorship inspires the older generation to creativity and supports their development.
During the opening ceremony, a concert program was presented by the participants of the UNO, the group of young models "Almaty Grandmothers" showed their fashion collection "Ak Kerbez". Also, the Academy of Arts of Kazakhstan awarded the Director of the Almaty Center for Active Longevity Saule Beketayeva and the Head of the Department Zina Ishchanova with the "Tarandy Medal of the Great Country".
The Almaty Center for Active Longevity offers unique opportunities for older people to maintain health and social activity.
