By decree of the Head of State, Abay Serikuly Kairbekov was appointed Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - Chairman of the Committee on the Criminal Enforcement System. He has many years of experience in internal affairs bodies, has held various operational and leadership positions, and has been the deputy head of the Criminal Procedure Committee since 2023.
Minister of Internal Affairs Yerzhan Sadenov introduced the new head to the staff of the Criminal Procedure Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs during an operational meeting.
The Minister noted that the main principles of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are law and order.
The Minister also paid special attention to ensuring legality in prisons, employment of convicts, increasing their social adaptation, strengthening control over persons registered under probation services, and the widespread introduction of digital solutions.
In addition, the Minister set priority tasks for the development of the punishment execution system and gave the new head specific tasks aimed at increasing the efficiency of the department's work.
