On February 28, an open lesson was held in the city schools for students of the region, where the importance of forming the environmental consciousness of the younger generation was discussed.
In accordance with the instructions of the Head of State, the national environmental program "Clean Kazakhstan" was launched. The goal of this event is to ensure that every Kazakhstani participates in the formation of an ecological culture.
Students of the Abai Center are also actively participating in the program. As part of the traditional “Clean Coast” event, landscaping work will begin at the end of April.
- Planting seedlings will be carried out in April-May in our center’s association No. 3. The first stage of landscaping work planned for this academic year began in April 2024 with the art exhibition “Nature - through the eyes of children”. It presented students’ creative works on the topic of ecology. The works depict images that highlight the importance of nature and ecology, - said Samal Muratkaliyeva, deputy director of the Abai Atyrau City Student Center.
In the second stage, students were provided with information about the “Clean Kazakhstan” program, and landscaping work continued. Students planted seeds of annual and perennial ornamental yard flowers, vegetable crops. They planted seedlings of plants such as velvet flower, zinnia, bayaldi, sweet pepper, tomato, and juniper.
- I have been participating in this event since January. In class, we sow seeds and various fruits. We dig up the soil, plant our crops, and water them. In this way, we make a small contribution to protecting nature, - said student Amina Abat.
At the end of the event, the students concluded the event by performing poems and songs dedicated to nature protection on the theme "Nature and Us".
The "Clean Kazakhstan" program is an important step towards improving the environmental situation in the country and increasing the environmental education of the younger generation. According to the teachers, the active participation of the center's students in this event is a sign of responsibility and care for the future of our country.
