A new fire station equipped with modern equipment and technology has been opened in Temirtau, which will allow rescuers to respond quickly to emergency situations. 48 specialists will work there.
The need to open a depot has long been present. The city fire department is under heavy load. In the summer, rescuers respond to calls 30-35 times a day. The problem was resolved with the support of the regional akimat. Funds were allocated for the major renovation of the building of the former fire department, built in 1993.
The opening of the depot was attended by the akim of the Karaganda region, Yermaganbet Bulekpayev, and the Minister of Emergency Situations, Shingiz Arynov.
- Additional funds allowed us to equip the depot with modern technology and equipment, as well as create favorable conditions for the work of rescuers. We will continue to further strengthen the material and technical base of the emergency services, - said Yermaganbet Bulekpayev.
The Minister of Emergency Situations handed over the keys to the new special equipment to the rescuers.
The depot fleet was replenished with four tanker trucks, two service vehicles for emergency response, a boat, as well as a modern auto-sat.
– There was no such fire department in Temirtau. In terms of size, equipment, level and quality of work performed, there are conditions for rescuers, apartments, a dormitory. All this should give impetus to emergency response and improve the quality of our services, - noted Chingiz Arynov. - The opening of a new fire depot is a contribution to the safety of the city, its residents and the industrial complex.
During the renovation of the building, special attention was paid to creating comfortable conditions for fire department employees. The administrative block is located on the third floor.
The first and second floors are allocated for classrooms, assembly and training halls, bathrooms, and a canteen.
Also, the depot building has two service apartments, which are fully equipped.
Two young families live there.
- Now all rescuers will live in one place. Here will be employees of the Temirtau Emergency Management Department, fire services, industrial safety, and mining rescuers. This will allow us to quickly solve all the problems, - noted Vladislav Karushulakov, Deputy Head of the Temirtau Emergency Situations Department.
The new fire station will ensure the safety of residents of the eastern and southwestern parts of Temirtau, including apartment and private housing, socially significant facilities, the Qarmet steel department and industrial enterprises of the Eastern region.
Also, given the location of the station, it is located close to the republican highway, employees can quickly go to help people who find themselves in a difficult situation on the road.
