Today, the akim of the region Beibut Isabayev met with the Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Almaty, Zhenishbek Asankulov. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of developing bilateral cooperation, - the press service of the akim of Zhetysu region reports.

The regional governor, Beibut Isabayev, warmly received the official delegation, in his speech, emphasizing the kinship relations between the two countries and briefly touched upon the investment opportunities of the Zhetysu region.

- The Kazakh-Kyrgyz people, who live on both sides of the Alatau, have common customs and traditions and views. We are also interested in strengthening friendly relations with neighboring countries. Currently, the Zhetysu region prioritizes agriculture, industrial production, green energy, tourism, and transport and logistics, - said the regional head, noting that much attention is paid to the development of Lakes Alakol and Balkhash, as well as the development of border regions. He also touched upon the potential of the manufacturing sector and expressed his readiness to jointly consider business projects of Kyrgyz entrepreneurs.

In turn, the official representative of the Kyrgyz Republic, Zhenishbek Asankulov, touched upon the purpose of his visit and made a number of proposals for the development of mutual cooperation in accordance with the agreement of the presidents of the two countries. In particular, he spoke about the joint holding of agricultural fairs, business forums, the development of tourist destinations, as well as the exchange of experience in the fields of culture and education. In particular, he proposed to consider the possibility of implementing specific projects between the Zhetysu region and the Naryn region of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Following the meeting, the head of the region, Beibut Isabayev, expressed his support for the proposals and wishes made by the Consul General and his readiness to jointly implement them and consider specific projects.
