The first universal rescue unit was inaugurated in the Karaganda region. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Major General Chingiz Arinov, the regional governor Yermaganbet Bolekpayev, veterans of civil defense agencies and representatives of the industrial sector.
The new unit was created on the basis of a modern three-story fire station and will become an important element of the emergency response system. Its main feature is that rescuers will be engaged not only in extinguishing fires, but also in carrying out emergency rescue operations, as well as monitoring industrial safety at strategically important facilities.
When choosing a place for the construction of the depot, all issues were considered. The facility is located in such a way that it will include, in addition to residential areas and social facilities, large industrial enterprises. Particular attention was paid to its proximity to the "Steel Department" of Qarmet JSC, one of the leading metallurgical complexes in the region. Since there is a high risk of technogenic accidents, quick action of rescuers is required.
All conditions have been created for the employees to work: a modern gym of the departmental sports club "Batyr team", a psychological assistance room, a shower, a canteen, administrative offices and a spacious hangar with equipment. The department will include employees of the Temirtau Emergency Management Department, the Industrial Safety and Emergency Rescue Services Department. It is also planned to create a branch of the Center for Disaster Medicine of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of the universal department.
During the ceremony, Minister Chingiz Arinov noted the importance of social support for rescuers and handed over the keys to the service apartments. The head of the department expressed gratitude to local executive bodies for their support in implementing the project.
“The opening of the universal rescue department is a strategic step towards strengthening the safety of Temirtau and its industrial facilities. "Thanks to the professionalism of our employees and modern equipment, we can effectively respond to any threat," the minister noted.
As part of the opening, the unit was provided with specialized equipment. This will significantly increase its mobility and technical equipment.
The creation of a universal rescue unit will not only reduce the response time to emergency situations, but also reduce potential threats and losses.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan continues systematic work to strengthen civil protection services, gradually increasing the level of security in the country.
