The World Championship in Kazakh wrestling among adults has come to an end in Delhi, India. In a two-day tournament, about 200 athletes determined the strongest in 16 weight categories.

The Kazakh national team participated in the important competition with a full squad and achieved a resounding victory. Three athletes from Shymkent competed in the national team, and all of them excelled in their weight categories. Zhumazhan Kozhambekov won in the 74 kg category, Ersultan Muzapparov in the 100 kg category, and Albina Bakhieva in the +77 kg category among women. Our compatriots have won 3 gold medals.

National sports are developing rapidly in Shymkent. The aforementioned athletes also won gold medals at the World Nomad Games held in Astana last year. In addition, Muzapparov and Kozhambekov became two-time world champions. Our compatriots are now preparing for the next responsible tests.
